Aloha Energy Drink

by Wai Lana

Mouth-watering pineapple and papaya always put me in a tropical mood. They also provide unique digestive enzymes that help our bodies break down and absorb nutrients.

Yield:
1 Smoothie
Cooking Time: 0 Minutes
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Ingredients:
  • 1½  cups pineapple
  • 1½ cups papaya
  • ½ cup coconut milk (Add afterward)
Instructions:

Blend all ingredients.

Notes:

Boost
You can make this juice a super-smoothie by blending it with a teaspoon of spirulina and a banana.

Benefits
Rich in powerful enzymes and energy-boosting natural sugars, this juice is a wonderful way to begin your day. Bromelain, a powerful enzyme in pineapple, dissolves mucus, fights bacteria, and soothes inflammation. It can even ease menstrual cramps. Both bromelain and the papain in papaya actively aid protein digestion.
